I've been wondering the same thing! Started taking supplements to treat my daughters cold while I was BF, in addition to taking a pregnancy multi...my tongue feel like its burnt and incredible sore. Love to know if you found this was the cause
Yes, its completely ok since your tongue, after getting burned, is undergoing the normal inflammatory process until the burnt taste buds would be changed. It will be painful for sometime depending on the degree of burn and would feel little until it becomes normal again.

It doesn't make your stomach hurt like everyone says but it makes your tongue and the top of your mouth feel like it is burnt for days. It hurts!

Yes if your tongue has been burned by a hot bevarege or food it may cause some small dots on your tongue. If this happens, your tongue may feel pain, it will probably feel kind of like sand paper at first but you may put an ice cube and that will make it feel better. The tougue is a very sensitive organ so be very careful,or you will feel a slight dose of pain.
You might try a mouth wash and/or a tongue scraper.
