replace t-stat
Bad compressor
Thermostat set on intermediate
A window unit is best for small homes or apartments which would not require a larger system. If you have a large home you'd be better off investing in a heat pump in most cases.
key on and off on and off on and off on the code will appear in the odometer window and will say "done" when they are finished do not start the car, just quickly cycle it on and off 3 times
If the unit is a heat pump, and the fan switch is set to ON, the unit compressor will cycle to maintain room temperature. Thus, it would blow hot or cold, depending on if the compressor was on, and the thermostat was calling for heat. Turn the fan switch to off, and let the thermostat bring the fan on. Not working part, no comment on that.
It is part of the water cycle because it help water not just sit on top off a cold mountian and freeze it goes down into a puddle and evaporates
Try setting the A/c unit to 65 and see if that brings the room temp to 75? Also is the A/c unit you have a window unit? If yes is it properly sealed through the wall or window??? No open gaps for cold air(A/C)to escape? Is the Unit the right size for the room size you are trying to cool, also is the unit itself working properly? Does it have a proper freon charge(is it blowing out cold air from the vent)does it have a dirty air filter? Is it too humid in the area you live at, humidity will make the best A/C units work like garbage causeing the condenser lines etc to freeze up and the unit to actually stop blowing cold air until it heats up enough to melt the ice off the lines and start working all over again until it freezes up once more.
Imagine a window AC unit installed backwards, rejecting heat indoors while air conditioning the world, this is a heat pumps heat mode. As the unit is air conditioning in the cool outdoors eventually the outdoor coil will ice up requiring a defrost cycle, defrost is the AC mode except the outdoor fans off to assist with the defrosting. A defrost cycle is time and temperature initiated, time or temperature terminated.
First off, it has nothing to do with cold weather. If you unlock the door with out the key (i.e. pull up with your the door lock with window down) and you then open the door the alarm will go off.
If there is not a pressure tap on the suction line(the larger pipe comming off of the compressor) you need to install a piercing valve with a 1/4" flare for the refrigerant hose and charge. Depending on the age of the window unit it might be worth buying a new one.
Wash it on cold gentle cycle in the washing machine or hand wash the spot.
You'd be better off just to get a portable home unit or a window unit. What you're talking about is possible.. you'd just need to possess the appropriate MacGyver skills to pull it off... but it wouldn't be feasible.
