It's not like it HAS to die, but it often happens that way.
While the babies are growing inside the mom, there's a limit to how much nutrients(=food) the mother can pass over to them.
Even if things are perfect, twins are usually born smaller than singles.
And smaller means more vulnerable. More likely to get sick, more likely not to be able to keep up with the pod, etc etc.
To make things worse, two babies growing rarely manage to share the nutrients equally.
One usually end up bigger and stronger, and the other smaller and weaker.
That pattern tends to continue after birth. The stronger twin gets to suckle first, and maybe there isn't enough milk to feed the 2nd one properly.
Even if they get past that stage, it's simply more difficult to keep two kids out of trouble than it is keeping one safe.
One might slip away, lose its way, encounter any of the sea species who'd look at a baby dolphin as a nice snack.
It takes about one to two years for a baby dolphin to grow.
When one twin has a baby does the other one tend to have one as well* ofc not theyre two different people :/
A small dolphin, ie a baby dolphin, looks much the same as an adult dolphin. At time of birth, dolphin calves are one-third the size of adult dolphins.
Giving birth to larger offspring tends to be more dangerous and difficult for both mother and baby. Dolphins only give birth to one baby every three to six years and dolphin babies suffer a 25 percent mortality rate.

You can find and purchase a twin baby buggy in the baby section of your local retail store such as Walmart or Target. You can also purchase one online and have it shipped to your house from Amazon.
No it does not.
One twin is always born after the first one. Even in a c-section delivery...they have to pull out one baby at a time.
it takes one to two years
Most dolphins just give birth to one dolphin each pregnancy. However, occasionally (like with humans) they will give birth to twins, or (very rarely) triplets.
