Many reptiles slow down their metabolism during the winter months. If your turtle is otherwise healthy, then it shouldn't be anything to worry about. Some of my own reptiles absolutely refuse to eat from around November to January - while some of the same species eat anything I offer them !
If it's a 'regular' occurence, don't worry - if it's a 'one off' or sudden change to its normal behaviour, a trip to your vet should set your mind at ease.
So long as the turtle continues to drink, it should be okay.
One word....PIZZA!

Because, they're actually eating it. Turtles need those calcium turtles to keep getting sick. you need to clean the tank out each month. Don't use windex because it will make your aquatic friend sick. And use one of those calcium turtles each month when you clean.
Turtles have two lungs, one left, one right.

One thing that you can catch from turtles is mycobacterium.
They eat because they have to. There are 7 Life Processes that all living things have to do and one of them is Eating. If you meant What do they eat, I don't know so Google it or something...
Box turtles are typically very mellow critters and won't harm any other pets. The problem however is that cats, dogs and so on can harm the box turtle. Even if a dog or cat does not harm the turtle, the stress of any other pets bothering it can cause it to stop eating and die. In fact, turtles are not as easy to keep as one may believe. They require a balanced diet, sunlight, moisture and will need to hibernate over the winter to stay healthy. Also remember that they are considered a threatened species in much of their range and owning or possessing one without a permit is highly illegal in some places. If you find one in the wild, simply leave it be, or return it. Captive-bred Eastern Box turtles can be purchased from breeders.
