...Or if you are non religius or believe in some other religion or just do not believe in the above post... Depending on where you are hurt there are different reasons on why, but the main reasons are so:
1) to tell your brain that a part of your body is damaged
2) the nerve sensors your body are damaged and tells the rest of the body to repair them
