Rubber has more friction than an ice cube. Ice has almost no friction what so ever.
A carpet has so much friction because it has a coarse surface, causing the surface to rub against it and cause friction.
by lowering the pressure in the tires but it depends on what kind of soil the track is in, for example for wet conditions you need more traction as you need to lower the pressure in the tires so you get more drive. Buy a pressure Gauge.
Lightening creates so much static friction that it can electrocute people
Actually, without friction, the Zamboni would not go anywhere. Ice just reduces friction. There are microscopic pores in the ice, so when the Zamboni is on top of it, the rubber tires press into the holes, so the vehicle gets a good grip. This makes it possible for the Zamboni to move across the ice.
rubber has so much friction ,because it is appling static friction. 6th grade student

because they are new they haven't bin smoothed out with water there just rubber so there is quite a bit of friction.
Burn rubber, as in the performed art where a car's tires are heated enough so that smoke evaporates as a result of friction is translated into "bränna gummi". The same translation is also valid for the not-as-common art of simply burning rubber (e.g. industrial burning of rubber).
it all depends on the type of rubber synthetic rubber is easily worn with friction and rots over time with wind and cold weather and water but usually has very good bonding.were as natural rubber comes from a tree so bonds are usually stronger and they take a lot longer to rot.usually the bonding comes from what the rubber is made of

There are so many advantages of rubber. Some of them include manufacture of footwear, it is used to make latex, rubber can be used as an insulator and so much more.
Due to the abrasive nature of sand.
because when friction builds up too much energy it is released through spraks and so.
This is my opinion. When using a screwdriver, you would have to twist and turn. This creates friction. by creating friction, the screwdrivers are getting negatively charged. But, rubbers are insulators(objects that hold elections loosely. Mostly non-metals). this means that rubber can hold electrons tightly; preventing any electrons from flowing. So by using rubber, electricians or one would have protection from electric shock. but if there were no rubber, there would be sparks from negatively charged screwdriver when it is attracted to a positive charged or neutral object. The rubber hold the electrons which prevent electric shock. ~Anonymous
