The phazon in samus's body was activated after Mogenar exploded, causing Samus to grow a surplus phazon, that caused her body to get rid of,( a.k.a. she pukes.).
Yes samus is a girl. you can find that out by winning any of the following games: metroid, metroid 2, metroid prime, metroid prime 2, metroid prime 3, metroid zero mission and even more!
1) Metroid Prime 2) Metroid Prime Hunters 3) Metroid Prime 2 Echoes 4) Metroid Prime 3 Corruption 5) Metroid Prime Pinball 6) Metroid Prime Trilogy there are 6 Metroid Prime games
Never
In Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Samus can transform into Dark Samus. This will only happen if you use the PED and become overloaded with phazon in the process, resulting in a game over.
sorry to disapoint you but the whole metroid series ended when corruption came out being the last of the trilogy and even if they made a metrod prime 4 it would have close to no plot because in metroid prime 3 samus finally kills dark samus/metroid prime so they would have to make up a whole new antagonist

If you mean by releases, then the order consists of this: Metroid, Metroid II, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, Metroid Prime, Metroid:Zero Mission, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Metroid Prime Pinball, Metroid Prime Hunters, Metroid 3:Corruption, and finally, Metroid:Other M.
There aren't going to be any more metroid primes. However Nintendo is releasing all 3 prime games on one disc under the title metroid prime trilogy, with better graphics and the wii controls on 8/24/09. Also, metroid other m for is scheduled for release summer 2010, but that is not a prime game, and is set in between super metroid and metroid fusion, plus, it is the same samus in all of the games. So, NO.
