Why was Edward Cullen adopted in the movie twilight?
Saying that Edward Cullen was adopted was really only a cover. His "parents", Dr. Carlisle and Esme Cullen, are not old enough to have a 17-year-old son (and saying they adopted him made sense). Their excuse for adopting him and the rest of the Cullen family is because Esme was unable to have children, which is true being that Esme is a vampire.
