Because scout likes hert auncle alot and people should respect that. It was her choice...good job Scout!
Scout likes her Uncle Jack because he is kind, patient, and understanding. He treats her with respect, listens to her, and takes the time to explain things to her in a way she can understand. He also stands up for her when necessary, showing her that he is on her side and cares about her well-being.
Uncle jack is like scouts father figure and he is someone to listen to scout and scout trusts him with things
Nearly nonexistent. She hasn't spoken a word to him, and the only time he ever spoke to her was to tell her to get off the fence.
Uncle Jack is Atticus younger brother.
uncle jack doesnt understand kids much, and scout has to teach him how to be fair and listen to both sides of a story.
They are both intelligent but Uncle Jack doesn't have the experience of having children. Hope this help! :)
Atticus brings Jem and Scout to his sister Alexandra's house. They have always went there for Christmas to spend time with the whole family. Uncle Jack, Aunt Alexandra, Uncle Jimmy and Francis. They are all much different than Scout and Jem because they are very boring and they do not like to play. Unlike Scout and Jem who are up for anything exciting.
The quote 'She said I didn't understand children much' is said by Uncle Jack in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. It was Scout who said this to him.
Scout taught Uncle Jack to hear both sides of the story before coming to a conclusion. Although Scout did harass Francis, she had a reason to (he was calling Atticus names, he said there was no point to the trial, and he bullied Scout). Dumbfounded, Uncle Jack admitted to underestimating the story, and assumed it was all Scout's fault. Atticus also taught him that children see things differently, but you still have to listen to their arguments in order to understand the seqence of events.
When Uncle Jack Finch says that Scout is growing out of her pants, he is hinting that she can only be a tomboy for so much longer. He goes on to ask her "You want to grow up to be a lady, don't you?"Know a days, people say "You're getting too big for your britches" Which is the same thing as " You're growing out of your pants". It means You're getting to cocky for your age or who you are.It could mean that the scout is talking bossily ouit of turn or acting as if she knoes everything, and this is why he might say something like that. It could also mean that the Scout is strong willed and cannot be coerced and Uncle JAck Finch feels insecure in the presence of strong willed young ladies/people.
about 90,000 a year. my uncle is one
Aunt Alexandra feels that Scout should conform to traditional gender roles and be more ladylike. She is critical of Scout's tomboyish behavior and unconventional interests, believing that it reflects poorly on their family's reputation. Alexandra also disapproves of Scout's close relationship with Calpurnia and the influence she has on Scout.
Scout, at first doesn't like the cunningham's very much but later on in the book, she ends up like the cunningham's boy. she asks atticus if he can come over and have dinner with them and stay with them after school days
Aunt Alexandra views Scout as lacking in feminine qualities and proper behavior, while Scout sees Aunt Alexandra as strict and old-fashioned. Over time, they both come to understand and appreciate each other's strengths and differences.
