because it is near to our planet
Because light scatters to make it look bigger
The sun may appear bigger today due to an optical illusion called the "moon illusion." This occurs when the sun is closer to the horizon, making it seem larger compared to when it is higher in the sky.

By doing abdominal excersise.
It is not because it is only an optical illusion that makes the moon look bigger than the sun
Like a star only bigger and a LOT brighter...
the lense of a telescope is round which makes things seem closer
that is not true the sun is bigger than the moon The moon is much, much, much smaller than the sun. It only looks bigger because the sun is much farther away than the moon. Many stars are much bigger than the sun, but they only look like points of light because they are so much more farther away.
Beacuse it is closer to earth.
There are alot, I mean.. Alot of stars bigger then the sun.. It's pretty tiny compared to them.. Look at this image for proof. http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss345/jamess__i6cfbl.gif it depends but the sun is a star
Sun is bigger
The perceived size of the sun is due to its proximity to Earth. The stars in the night sky are significantly farther away from us, making them appear much smaller. Despite being an average-sized star, the sun's distance from Earth makes it look bigger than the more distant stars.
