Press and hold the sunroof tilt up button with the key set to ON. Keep it pressed and the roof will cycle through tilting up, closing, fully opening and fully closing. After the roof fully closes, it should stop moving. Your roof should now be reset!
It is possible that the sunroof motor needs to be replaced if the sunroof is not closing automatically. It is also possible that the wiring needs to be replaced.

it is an electrical issue
THE SUNROOF OR MOON WILL CLICK WHEN THERE IS SOMETHING JAMMED IN THE TRACKS. YOU HAVE TO LET IT KEEP DOING IT UNTIL IT UNJAMS. I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM BUT IT WONT UNJAM IT.
i have a 54 model and it is behind the non opening sunroof, nearly as far back as it can go.
The reason for this may be a problem in the gearing, or a bearing going bad. It may also be caused by something simple as having dirt inside the tracks of the moonroof.
it is located just in front of the sunroof under the headliner. it is close to the switch. you will just need to pull the stip off the headliner around the sunroof opening. pull the headline down in the front and you will see the motor
rubber seal around the opening on the hood is loose and preventing the sunroof from moving down and sliding open.
Depending on the year/model there is either a crank-handle for manually opening/closing the sunroof in the event of an electrical motor failure. If there is no visible crank handle, remove the cover plate at the roof and look for a screw/peg that can be turned to open the sunroof. Check the fuse first. Usually the sunroof motor shares the same fuse as the power seats and windows. If these don't work it may be a faulty fuse. If the fuse is ok press the sunroof switch. Do you hear the sunroof motor kick in, even though the roof won't move? In this case the sunroof may just be 'sticking'. Try a few squirts of penetrating fluid into the rails and latch mechanism.
