you probably need new temperature sensor get both of the one availiable their is on for the computer and one that show up on ur dash this can cause an extremely high idle when they first start to go when they go all the way you will have to use the manual idle screw it could also be the opposite because the geo storm automatically controls the idle if ur throttle pulley is pushed to far by the set screw run the set screw all the wayback to where it doesnt touch the pulley if it does not start with out giving it gas it is ur temperature sensor if it idles between 900-1100rpms that is the normal range also if the cable is to tight it can cause an extremely high idle
