does the dash shake when the motor is on.if so either there is something in the fan blade there are a few bolts under the dash passenger side which hold the blower motor in remove them and disconnect the two wire connector if there is some tan plastic inside ,your recirculation door is broken and needs replacement .the dash board assembly needs removal for this.you can also reach up and remove the broken door from the hole to prevent further problems before getting this fixed.it is right above the hole above the motor.sorry to say this is common i have changed alot of those assemblies.hopefully its just an old receipt or something from the glove box.good luck

A 316 motor is not a direct swap with a 360 in a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500. Both engines are very similar but have different connectors and mounts.
It doesn't have EGR.

yes, but depending on what you had in the 1500 to begin with, you might have to get different, more durable things. such as rear end, motor mounts. ext
I don't know about mounting it, but the diesel motor is too heavy for the suspension on a 1500 (1/2 ton) truck.
