I'm assuming that you have a deck that is some number of Watts x4channels, and that you're using those four channels to drive the dash or door speakers. If yes, then probably the deck isn't getting enough ventilation and is overheating, causing it's protection circuit to kick in and shut it down to cool off. If you install a small fan under the dash blowing toward the deck, it may fix the problem.
