either your thermostat is sticking in the open position and the car is 'overcooling', thus not producing heat.....or you have a low coolant level condition(maybe from a leak you havent noticed) that is not allowing any antifreeze to flow thru the heater core inside your dash. if you are low on antifreeze then fill plastic reservoir and radiator up to full and that should improve heater. if gauge on dash always reads very low near cold and engine never gets very hot after running for awhile then the thermostat is probably bad. lastly, your heater core could be clogged up and antifreeze cannot flow thru it, thus no heat exchange effect = no heat. this is a little more rare but can happen on high mileage jeeps with the 4.0l engine.

The HeaterTreater is an after market kit that solves heater and AC for the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Laredo. It is much cheaper than the dealership fix and is easy to install. For diagnosis and info, check out www.heatertreater.net or search eBay for "heatertreater".

Probably the blower motor resistor, check blower motor at the same time
The most common problem is with the blend doors. Check heatertreater.net for diagnostic information and an inexpensive fix.
This happened on my wife's 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. She took it in to Chrysler for diagnostics and they found the blower motor resistor was bad and replaced it. part no# 5143127-AA Resistor Blower - 803502 $11.12 Electrical System Tech labor $149.21 It worked.
