It might matter what platform you are running on. Each platform uses a different download.
Because MCPAtcher is used for texture packs, what you want is Modloader or another program.
On mac, download the .zip then put it in your texture pack folder. (Install mcpatcher if needed)
There are two(main) ways to install minecraft mods. I assume this is for Windows. 1. MCpatcher To use MCpatcher, download it and then download modloader(unless otherwise specified). Download whatever other mods you wish to download, then open and install them in MCpatcher(modloader and other managing mods first, e.g. minecraftforge, HD textures, etc.). Afterwards, they should work. This also works with texture packs. 2. Manual Click "Run" in the Start menu, then type %appdata% and click run. Click on .minecraft. Click on bin. Right click minecraft.jar, then open it with winRAR or some other .zip/.jar file opener. Download Modloader (unless otherwise specified). Open Modloader with the file opener as well and drag the files to minecraft.jar. DO the same with all the other mod's files and it should work. Note: there may be mod conflicts which are much reduced in MCpatcher.
you need to download and install another file but i dont know what its called Just download the mcpatcher. It is really easy to use and download.
For HD texture packs (over 16x16 in resolution), you have to use either MCPatcher or OptiFine in order for the textures to work and animate correctly.
You don't need a texture pack to have better grass. You can download McPatcher at minecraftdl.com
No a Mcpatcher is not free ,because like any other McDonald food it cost different amounts of money.
Mo'Creatures don't need McPatcher, but Minecraft HD does. McPatcher is actually easier to install mods and HD texture packs so "yes" to your question.
Use MCPatcher
Yes, but you would need MCpatcher to do so.
Yes they work 100%.
Download time is the amount of time you have to download a peice of work.
