Why resistance of germanium increases on decreasing temperature from room temperature to 80 Kelvin?

loss of free current carriers as temperature drops.

Temperature vs elevation?

As the altitude or elevation increases the temperature decreases. The temperature drops about 6.5 degree Celsius for every I km increase.

Does a thermometer's mercurry expand contract on condenses?

it expands and contracts when the temperature drops, the mercury contracts...when the temperature increases, the mercury expands

As elevation rises temperature does what?

In the troposphere, the temperature drops. In the stratosphere (layer above the troposphere) it increases with elevation. In the mesosphere, temperature drops again with elevation. In the theromosphere, it goes up again (to nearly stellar surface temperatures).

Is hypothermia a disease?

No. Hypothermia is caused when an organism's temperature drops below the temperature required for normal body functions.

When body temperature drops below normal do chemical reactions proceed too rapidly and do body proteins begin to break down?

No, when body temperature drops below normal the body will slow down in its functions and go into "preservation mode".

How do you find the volume of a gas when the pressure increases and the temperature drops?

Use the ideal gas law. PV = nRT

What is hypotherima?

is a condition in which an organism's temperature drops below that required for normal metabolism and body functions.

Mobility of electron Increases as temperature increases?

false increasing temperature increases vibrations of cations in a metal lattice. This increases the chances of an electron colliding with a cation, decreasing overall mobility. Aside: when some metals and ceramics reach below a certain temperature their resistance drops to zero(literally) and they become superconducting, able to carry currents for thousands of years with no energy loss.

How does the ocean changes as you go deeper?

As depth increases temperature drops, water pressure increases and the eyes of sea creatures become more primitive. Electroluminescence plays a greater part in identification.

Is it possible for an air mass to change in temperature if no heat is added or subtracted?

Not only possible but a certainty that it will change in temperature.

What is hyporthermia?
