The Xbox and PlayStation communities are harsh because of the abundance of experienced players who have no patience for those who are just starting out.

well first off PlayStation network is only compatible with other PlayStation's that's why it is called psn not PlayStation live second xbox you have to pay for your Internet unlike ps3. xbox was made by Microsoft and PlayStation was made by Sony so yes they are different systems but maybe later in the future Sony and Microsoft will make a system that you can have psn friends and xbox live friends so in tell then you will have to settle with a xbox or a PlayStation 3
