when i hooked up my pioneer, i only hooked up essentially what i felt i needed instead of everything. i got power but no sound. i had to ensure that everything was hooked up. dimmer, ant power, illum, etc.
No, usually a scraping sound indicates the starter is dragging and needs to be replaced.
YOU NEED NEW CALIPERS . THEY ARE STICKING
Check for loose exhause system components, damaged catalytic converter, or spark knock(ping.)
Bad tire?, try rotating the tires to see if the noise moves.
I have the exact same thing with a 2002 Mercury Sable GS Not sure but I think it is some sort of vacuume leak somewhere
Yes, it would be no problem for a pro.

The wild mercury sound was created in 2007.
I have driven Sables for years and have found if you are moving at a slow speed, maybe decelerating, and begin to accelerate, sometimes the transmission downshifts with a very noticeable jerk and a thud sound. I put 200k miles on a '96 Sable with this happening and never had a problem requiring attention.
No...
Thin Mercury Sound was created on 2004-07-27.
14 volts?? Check back with the manufacturer of the unit, or read through the specifications and wiring instructions for clarification. 14 volts just doesn't sound at all right.
