You have a problem with the SRS. This is not a DIY repair. Seek out a professional for this repair as working on this system can be hazardous.
If the brake lights stay on when the car is not running on most vehicles, including the 1994 Dodge Intrepid, there is probably a short somewhere in the wiring to the brake lights. The first place to investigate this problem would be the wires along the firewall that control the brake lights. Also, check the brake light switch above the brake pedal.
There are approx. four pages of codes, you need to have checked with a scanne to see which set.

sorry to say this but it will not swap. they will bolt up but the 1996 is a computer controled trans. without the computer it will stay in low gear.
