How old do you have to be to make a facebook. And please DONT say 13!
It might have something to do with the alternator.......... or maybe there is a short in the wiring
I wonder if one of the ABS fuses is bad ?
If the ABS light is on , a malfunction has been detected . It could be a fuse , a sensor , or some other problem
You have a problem with the ABS system. Your brakes will still work properly but you will not have the extra safety of ABS. Have this checked out.
1995 ford ranger back-up lights stay on, replaced switch, how do you check for a bad switch
On a 2001 Ford Ranger : If you have selected 4X4 HIGH , yes , you should see (4WD in your dash ) If you have selected 4X4 LOW , yes , you should see (4WD LOW in your dash )
Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem - usually in the emission control system
You would really need to have your Ranger scanned for any trouble codes to diagnose and then repair the malfunction with your emission control system . There are just too many possibilities
Check your brake fluid level in your brake master cylinder in the engine compartment and see if it is down.
Many rangers have a micro-switch built into the door latch that grounds when the door is shut. If the switches become dirty, they will cause the dome light, chime, and door ajar light to stay on. A few shots of contact cleaner should do them justice.
on my '99 the code came back on the diag. for rear wheel speed sensor (the one in the rear diff)
check brake light fuse and brake light switch on pedal
