My car did this. I took it to get the heads de-carbonized and the fuel injectors cleaned out and it stopped doing this. Most likely it was the fuel injectors causing the problem.
it sounds like clutch problems to me. i have an automatic that does that to me on really cold days
cause you dont turn of the engine so there for its on but you need to rev a bit so then u have aa bit of smoke
IF your 94 Probe GT has a new clutch, but when you are on a hill the car will not go, it could be the fuel line. This is especially true if it does not stall and does not rev up either.
They rev out to around 9500, give or take a little bit depending on the car
Check the hose going to your pcv valve. If it is split or not connected good, this will cause the high rev. Did it on my 1998.
rev limiter will only let the RPM's get so high then it cuts back
Most likely cause is that the rev limiter has cut in.
On the main bearings, you should fall between .001, and .003. If it is high performance, and you are going to rev it, go .002. Looser will rev.
It has a rev limiter. It designed to keep the engine from over revving and doing damage.
To make it jump rev the engine to full speed then find any small or large bump or hill and fly off of it
You need to check the throttle positioning sensor.
manual, bad clutch; auto, bad tranny
