I am having the same problem on my 94. It will go into drive but that is it.
Make sure its in neutral then go to 4 low then 4 high after that put it in in drive and tear it up
Stuck in Park? Check to see if the stop lights are working - shift interlock should be the same circuit Check stop light fuse Try turning the key to 1st position (Unlock) Shift to neutral to start vehicle and then shift to Drive
it is one down, three up. neutral between 1 and two
* cause it needs to be put in drive to go forward
From the neutral gear position with the neutral light illuminated, press down on the shift lever, for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears, lift the lever with your foot one time for each gear.
I have a 1995 Ford Econoline van with an automatic transmission. When I went to drive the car today, the shift gear moved and shifted but would not go into gear. It's refusing to "click" into gear for Reverse, Neutral, or Drive, and has quite a problem clicking into Park as well. When I set the car to drive, it does not move, in fact it acts like it's in neutral. What's wrong with it? Is it the transmission, or possibly something else? If so, what?
Check battery, cables, starter, starter solenoid, neutral safety switch
tow from the front with the transmission in neutral.
