The coast gaurd uses hovercraft because it is easier to go from land to water, water land an so forth. This means that the hovercraft won't have any difference between the land or the water. It also is pretty fast and very vercitile so it will work pretty well.

The Coast Guard uses hovercraft because they have the ability to operate in various environments, including ice, water, mud, and sand. Hovercraft are capable of traveling over different surfaces and can reach shallow areas where traditional boats may get stuck. Additionally, they can navigate through obstacles and provide access to remote and inaccessible locations during search and rescue operations.
