I am having the same problem with my 1998 Windstar. I have not fixed it yet, but have read that you should try spraying WD40 on all of the contact points, on all of the doors. From what I read thus far, it may take a day for this to make any effect on the car. Also, it is not a permanent fix to the problem, but can definatly help that annoying * ding*ding*ding* for a little while at least. Hope this helps, I am going to try it when I go home tonight, so i will let you know if it worked on monday.
I had the same problem on my 1998 Pontica Transport. The solution was to replace the 20 amp fuse under the hood for parking lights.
Well it indecats for you to shut your door
It depends on what lights, did you turn on a switch, open a door, If they are dash warning lights, you have a malfunction.
Just remove the bulbs. If the sensor in the door keeps the lights on, you have to find out which door. Check with your Ford dealer.
Open the drivers door, remove panel on left side of dash. This panel is covered when the door in closed.
I had this issue turned out to be one of the switches on the door. Does the dash show any door ajar lights? If so start on that door
Try checking the driver side dash between dash and the door.
Should be fuse box on passengers side as you open the door it is right on the side of the dash.
On the in side of the door on the driver side of the dash just open the door and pull the panel cover off.
There is only 1 fuse block on this vehicle. If the dash lights are not or only half of them are working remove components and replace the bulbs.the fuse box is on the dr side of dash under the dash by the door also be sure the dash light dimmer control is not turned off.
depends what state and what cop sees it. if they cant prove it was you then your probably good.
it is a safety feature so you are less likely to lock your keys in the car but if you have to stop it you can put the key in and open the door at this point you stick your head under the dash and listen then carefully unplug the module that is making the noise
