My EAC failed light came on in my Fiesta 1.4LX 53 reg. and the car would do peculiar things and lose power. Changed the accelerator pedal - cost about £80 and was a five minute DIY job involving four screws and a plug inside the car! Car not failed in the last six months!! Hopefully, fingers crossed, problem solved. EAC, I believe, stands for Electronic Accelerator Control - the module bit is on the pedal.
