Why does the flasher on the drivers side of your 2002 Trailblazer flash at about three times the normal speed when the headlights are on and about a quarter of the normal speed with the brakes on.?

Either you have one of the bulbs burnt out or the wrong size bulb installed.

Strip the ends of the wires, one quarter inch, and on one end put a male spade type connector and on the other end a female connector. Noting the wiring position on the flasher, connect the wires individually to the flasher and the car wiring. Secure the wiring with tape.
