Can the washing machine drain hose be at floor level?

I have had it like that at a house I lived at, it would drain directly into the basement floor drain, however it was a pain in the behind, because I often found myself tripping over it, or if the kiddos wanted to ride their bikes or 3 wheeler toddler things in the basement they would get hooked up on the hose also. And if it got to far away from the floor drain I had a water mess, so if at all possible go with the drain behind washer, out of sight ... out of mind.

How do you level a floor with a drain?

Prior to caulking the lead joint I use a level then pour the joint and tap each side of the lead so the drain does not shift then finish packing the lead and trim the lead with a trimming iron...same as for CI roof drains except roof drains are slightly counter sunk to allow for the 4 PSF sheet lead flashing

How do you put a sump pump in when you have a septic system and no good fall around house?

If all that you're pumping is water, just rout it to the septic system. Ideally, this would be through a floor drain or the water softener drain or a washer drain. Sump pumps have a screen on them to prevent them from pumping out dirt and rocks.

Washing machine drains water backs up run on floor?

Washing machine drains into a floor drain? The drain need cleaning. Liquid drain cleaner may do it, or it may need to be snaked. Simple fix is to get a 30 gallon trash can, cut a small hole in the bottom, the size of a quarter and set it over the drain. Let the washer drain into that. The small hole will let the water drain at a rate that the floor drain can handle it.

When you do laundry why does the floor drain start to come up with water from the washer?

The drain from the washer to the main line is getting plugged and the floor drain is easier. Drain cleaner in the floor drain should take care of it.

My washer and dryer are currently in my basement and I would like to install it on the main floor but don't know how to install the pipes for the drain to still go into the basement drain?

Without knowing the layout or type of drain pipe and location, it is impossible to give a good answer. Drill a hole in the floor and run the drain with PVC. Drains should fall 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch for every foot of distance. Horizontal distance. There may be a drain line that is closer to the first floor location that you can tap into. Washer drain does not need a vent, it gets it's venting around the washer hose.

What's the difference between a floor trap and a floor drain?

Not much other than the floor slopes into a flor drain so any water or other fluid goes directly into it while a floor sink is bigger, sometimes has a strainer in it but pipes can be ended directly above floor sinks so that the fluid from the pipe flows pirectly into it

What is the first step to install a basement bathroom?

Decide if it is feasable. Are there drains already in place ? Does the existing main drain go through the floor or out the wall. If it's out the wall, you would need to install a pump for the sewage. If it is through the floor, you will have to bust out a section of the floor to install drains if none exist. Fairly expensive and labor intense. so you have to ask if it is worth it. After the drains are dealt with, it is just a matter of walls, plumbing, and fixtures.

If you have a drain concreted into the floor that goes to your plumbling in the basement you want to install a pedastal sink can the drain be run out the bottom of the sink or does it have to be in wa?

That would depend on where the floor drain was in relation to the sink. If it is the drain for an existing sink it may be too far out from the wall. There is no way to know without measuring. The pedestal may have a hole in the bottom of it that may be big enough for the drain or not. Depends on the manufacturer. If you can get it to line up somehow, there is a trap that drains out the floor instead of the wall.

When you throw the rubbish on the floor then what happen?

wind or rain carries it down a drain or up into the sky where it then travels. if it is rain, and it goes down a drain, all drains lead to the ocean so where do you think the rubbish will go?

When the washer rinses into the wash tub it backs up from the floor drain if it drains fast if the plug is in sideways and drains slowly its fine the wash tub is above the drain hole on floor.?

This is a typical problem that occurs on average every 25 years in a house. There should be a stack that the laundry tub goes into that also might be connected with the kitchen sink from above. The average line is a 4 inch pipe and over time it plugs under the floor with lint and soap which turns into a very thick sludge. I do not advise to use any acids for if you have metal lines it could eat a hole thru the pipe. You could use some enzyme based drain cleaners. But your best bet is to call your local Roto-Rooter and have the line cleaned out.
