Fuses are installed to prevent damage to parts that are electrically downstream. There may be a short in your wiring causing the fuses to go. Until you find the short you will keep blowing fuses. Check the resistance between the fuse and the device with an ohmeter if you can. To do this;
1.disconnect your battery
2.remove your dash instrument cluster
3.check wiring diagram in your shop manual to check wich wire supplies power to it
4.unplug the connector
5.then check the resistance from the side of the fuse holder that goes to the cluster with the power wire at the connector. It should be zero or very low.
If it isn't you probably have a short in the wire. If it is you may have a problem with the wiring in the cluster.
You can also get under your dash and physically examine the wiring.
Likely heater core. I had same problem with 1996 S-10 with 4.3L.
check your fuses
Try looking at your tail light socket if it is fried that will blow the fuse
What would cause your fuse to blow when you turn on your lights on your 1993 mazda 323 the fuse to the tail lights on dash lights blow?
Could be burnt out. Same thing happened to my caddy.
Man vehicles have the dash lights and tail lights wired through the same fuse. Check your fuse box for the dash or tail light fuse. Something has most likely caused it to blow.
