Same answer as previously listed. Check your headlight knob for having it turned to high, back if off some. If that doesn't work, see a certified mechanic.
how to get the interior lights to turn on on 2003 oldsmobile silhouette
Check your headlight knob, if it is turned too far, it will leave the dome lights on. Just back if off, you'll feel the click when you turn the knob. If that is not it, then see a certified mechanic.
I would suspect a ground problem. Saying that, check the brake light switch.
All of my 2002 Silhouette outside lights had small leaks when I purchased the van used. I did not notice this when I bought it but shortly after, my rear lights all went out. I had to replace the whole assembly including the covers. I have not had any problems in the 4 years since I did that. After talking to several mechanics, I understand that is very common in the Silhouettes. Hope this helps.

how do you replace head lights on my 1999 oldsmobile alero?
Underneath the glove compartment. By that, I mean you have to pull out the plastic lining in the glove compartment. Stupid, huh?
Sometimes the instrument panel dimmer switch also has another "detent" that turns on the interior lights without one opening one of the doors. The other thing that could have happened is that one of the door switches may have a loose wire, which would "open" the switch and cause the lights to stay on.
brake light on when driving oldsmobile alero
Had the same problem with mine. With it sitting in the garage, with the key out, the interior lights would repeatedly cycle on and off. It eventually got to the point where it would drain the battery. I took it to the dealer (it was still under warranty), and they replaced the module that controlled the interior lights. They told me that if it had been out of warranty that it would have cost around $400.00.
Take old lights out. Put new lights in. Done. You have just changed the interior lights on a 97 Buick Regal!
There is a faulty fuse that goes to the interior lights. There could also be a short in the wiring that leads to the lights.
