Keep in mind that the Catholic Church is the Mystical Body of Christ (Acts 9:1-5; 1 Cor 12:12-14), and Our Blessed Lord was very specific, the world hated Him, and it would continue to hate Him and His Body, the Church. The world hates Christ because He stands for morality. The world hates Christ because Our Blessed Lord is calling to them, telling them to reject the world, the flesh, and the Devil. And, in case you haven't noticed, those are the media's favorite things: the world, the flesh, and the Devil. How could it not hate the Church?
