colder tempatures cause longer warm up times. when an engine is cold, it requires more fuel to maintain a smooth idle and good power. Also cold air is denser, which means that the wind resistance drag on the car is higher. And the rolling resistance of the tires is greater when they are colder, and the roads in some places are more often wet, which also increases rolling resistance.
Mazda 6 3.0L V6 with 5 speed manual First, the mileage will differ in Summer vs. Winter. From my experience, expect the mileage to differ by from 2-3 mpg. Second, it will differ depending on how you drive. I drive gently, using the full "hammer down" sparingly. In Winter, expect 24-25 mpg. In Summer, 26-28 mpg. This is a mixture of city stop and go and interstate driving. A steady state, 65 mph in Summer will generate 30 mpg.
pandas go down in the winter and up in the summer
they migrate south for the winter
My 2005 Outback 2.5i with a manual transmission averages 28 MPG highway in winter and 30 MPG in summer. I think that the winter gas out here on the west coast has a bit to do with the lower MPG in the cold months. Combined city/highway is usually 27 MPG or so.
How far can 28 mpg go? You can go 28 miles with one gallon of fuel.
the hp goes up about 50 to 75 more and the mpg go up between 1-5....yea for the most part they are worth it
the gallardo goes 12/20 mpg and the murcielago gets 8/13 mpg
If you get 30 mpg, you can go 480 miles If you get 20 mpg, you can go 320 miles.
I have a 1996 Golf GLIII with a 5-speed and I average about 35 mpg in the summer and 31 mpg in the winter (Minneapolis, Minnesota).
The Acura RDX requires premium gas, and will go 17 MPG in the city. It will also go MPG on the highway and a total of 19 MPG combined.
My 2004 Toyota Prius gets around 42mpg in the Summer and 36mpg in the Winter (Hybids rely on the gas engine to generate heat in the Winter.) If you have a tendency to warm-up your car in the Winter the mpg will be lower. I am sure that this is the same with hybrids in the colder climates.
How mpg can a h3 Hummer go well it goes throw your peunis and comes out of a pack of gypys
