Why does the red heifer for the sacrifice need to be three years old?

Unless I am mistaken, the "red heifer" must be about 3 years old and it is watched to be sure it is perfect. (no white or black hairs grow etc). Jesus' ministry on earth was approximately 3 years.
Just like the Pesach/Passover lamb had to be brought and examined so many days prior to sacrificing it. That's the same number of days Jesus arrived in Jerusalem prior to crucifixion.
The logical reason why the priests insist it be at least in its third year are based on a scripture in Num 8,8, which usually is translated in a way where you could not tell that the bullock was two years old (Parah - both Mishnah and Tosefta).
If a bullock must be two years old, then it must be in its third year. And this then applies to a full grown heifer as well as the bullock.
To give an example of this reasoning: (Parah 1,1)
THE HEIFER(whose neck is broken, Deut 21,3) MUST BE NO MORE THAN ONE
YEAR OLD AND THE RED COW NO MORE THAN TWO YEARS OLD. (this means - in its third year, but not more.) BUT THE SAGES RULED: THE HEIFER MAY BE EVEN TWO YEARS OLD AND THE RED COW EVEN THREE OR FOUR YEARS OLD. R. MEIR RULED: EVEN FIVE YEARS OLD. ONE THAT IS OLDER IS VALID, BUT THEY DID NOT WAIT WITH IT SO LONG SINCE IT MIGHT IN THE MEANTIME GROW SOME BLACK HAIRS AND [THUS] BECOME INVALID. R. JOSHUA STATED: I ONLY HEARD OF [A COW] THAT WAS SHELASHETH. THEY SAID TO HIM: WHAT DOES THE EXPRESSION 'SHELASHETH' SIGNIFY? HE REPLIED: THUS HAVE I HEARD IT WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION. BEN 'AZZAI SAID, I WILL EXPLAIN: IF YOU SAY SHELISHITH THE MEANING IS 'THE THIRD' IN NUMBER TO OTHERS, BUT WHEN YOU SAY SHELASHETH THE MEANING IS ONE THAT IS 'THREE YEARS OLD.
The original statement 'no more than two years old' was followed because of the danger of black hairs, i.e. in its third year.
Yes, everything about the Red Heifer reflects in great detail the crucifixion of Jesus. From the time of birth the Red Heifer must be watched, to assure that no yoke be laid upon it. From the day John the Baptist made known to Israel that Jesus was the Messiah until his crucifixion in the third year, he was carefully watched, just as the Red Heifer was watched.
