∙ 15y agoMaybe it's because whoever you vote for the government gets elected. Some people see taxation as an intrusion into their own personal financial freedom. Whoever is elected the other lot always say they could/would/will do better. The truth is that governments, wherever they are, are made up of human beings, and humans are very, very fallable.
