Windows RE needs to boot from a DVD because it isn't installed on the hard drive. It needs to run from the DVD so it can repair the OS on the hard drive.
Find a computer where you can add a password in the bios. Doing so, you can setup your bios to boot from hard drive first before booting from the DVD drive. No windows install DVD will be able to re install windows since the hard drive will boot first. Then, in windows, setup you account as admin and add a password for it if there is no password. Setup a guest account for other windows users. That's it.
But you need a re-BOOT! :)
You will need the start up disk that comes with Windows program. It will be the disk with a code on the back of the packaging. Place the disc in the drive and then re-boot your device.
You probably need to re-boot the computer. Most install/uninstall operations require Windows to be re-started to complete the process.
Bootrec /fixmbr
The "bootrec fixboot" command is used in Windows Recovery Environment to repair issues with the Master Boot Record (MBR) or Boot Configuration Data (BCD) that may be preventing Windows from booting correctly. This command can help resolve startup problems and restore the Windows boot process.
First, you must insert the DVD+RW disc into a DVD burner that supports ReWritable media. In Windows, the DVD will usually open as a directory on your computer. Select any files you don't want to keep on the DVD after you finish re-recording, then delete them. Copy any files that you do want on the DVD after you re-record, and click "Burn to disc". There are multiple applications available for Windows, OS-X, and other operating systems, and while the specific steps for re-recording on a DVD+RW are, for the most part, different, the basics are all the same as described above.
go to the control panel and un-install the drive unit, then shut the computer down totally. Let it re-boot and see if it then locates the drive. If it re-installs it with no problem then try a DVD in it. If it still does not, you probably need to update your drivers.
Nothing is missing you just need to reinstall windows completely again.Follow these steps while installing windows.Just connect the CD Drive and a hard disk in which you want to install windows.Turn on computer and Insert CD in CD Drive.Computer will automatically detect boot from CD.If the boot is not selected then select Boot from CD.Install windows using installation wizard.Turn off Computer and then connect all drives in correct ports (SATA ports).Turn on Computer and press F2 at the First page displayed for bios option.Change the boot order of drives such that the first drive is the drive in which Windows is installed.Save changes and exit Bios. Then the computer will turn on.
If you do not have Windows 7 on a DVD or have not made a back-up of 7, or do not have the hard drive partitioned with 7 saved on that partition, you are out of luck.
well first you need to go and have a poo and then think about it
The Boot Camp utility assists in setting up a Mac so that Windows can be installed. It will not run Mac OS 9. Boot Camp assistant lets you boot into Boot Camp which is a Windows type program to be able to install and use a Windows Operating System. Boot Camp installs Apple drivers and is basically the translator for Apples hardware like the keyboard, mouse, Airport, etc. OS 9 being a Mac OS, as old as it is, can't speak Windows. The new Mac OS was re-written to be able to use the same type Intel chip that Windows uses.
