Most common cause is. Bad plug wires and or bad spark plugs. Time for a GOOD tune-up.

Generally located under the drivers side of the truck, inside the frame rail aprox under the drivers seat depending on what year the truck is.
It is in the front differential housing. Craw under the front of the truck and look at the housing towards the passenger side and you will see it. It will have electric wires going to it.
Slide in under the truck behind the passenger front tire and look up at the bottom of the engine and you will see it.
If it has a distributor it has to come out and be completely disassembled //its under the rotor!!!

Get under your truck, the starter is going to be where the bellhousing of the tranny meets the motor. you'll see where it is as there will be an irregularity in the bell housing.
It is in the frame rail on driverside, back by the Transmission cross member. You will have to lay down under the truck, and look up into the frame.
