Sounds like you didn't properly time the engine. If you have a timing gun, recheck the timing, if not take it to a local mech. It shouldn't cost you very much to get the timing adjusted, you've already done the hard part... :) If you're sure that the timing is right, it could be possible that, if the belt broke, it may have caused more serious internal problems. If you changed the belt simply for maintenance check your plugs, wires, distributer, you may just have a problem in the 'spark'
