Why does your 2000 Chevy Tracker engine die occasionally I have replaced the fuel filter 3 times. It acts like vapor lock?
you replaced the filter, how about the pump? if you have then start from the front of the vehicle and work your way back, when is the last time you have tuned up your truck? spark plugs wires, belts air filter, oil change oil filter, transmission flush? even fuel injection cleaner....when your truck gets so many miles on it, it is a given that you are going to have problems. these trackers have decently priced parts, you should not have had to replace the filter that many times. check the pump itself and replace it, which is what you probably should have done before replacing the filter.
What causes Chevy Tracker 2000 fails to restart engine and it needs about 15 minutes wait time before it can start again?
Does it turn over at normal speed or "drag"? If it drags could be a weak starter Loose or corroded battery cable? it could also be poor maintenance....if you have not changed your oil, oil filter, done a tune up, replaced your thermostat or checked your coolant yeah your engine is going to be messed up....spark plugs could also be an issue, when is the last time they were replaced? boots too? distributor? belts need…
Warning signs that a filter needs replaced include poor engine performance or even a seize-up of your engine, decreased fuel efficiency and poor starting or stalling. Regular filter maintenance is essential - many times by the time a filter shows signs that it needs replacement, it is usually too late. your engine wont "seize up" just will run really bad if filter is blocked. just change it when you buy a new car and if…

Dodge dealership replaced KN lifetime filter and said that he replaced 11 engines in his first year 8 of them because of KN air filters is that just BS to sell another filter?
Fuel filter is located between the engine and firewall on drivers side. You will need to relieve the fuel pressure from the fuel system before replacing the filter. I have a 1999 Ford Escort so I know this because I have replaced mine. The fuel filter is located on the center of the firewall in the engine compartment about half way down. The firewall is the part that seperates the engine compartment from the interior of the…
Various reasons: air filter that needs to be replaced regularly, oil and filter that needs to be replaced regularly, fuel lines are clogged, spark plugs that should be replaced, hoses in need of replacement, tires not inflated to optimum pressures, and engine valves that may need adjustment from time to time.
It uses a screw on filter so it should be visible screwed into the engine block. Some 1986 Fieros used a filter mounted in the oil pan, so look there in case you have one where the engine has been replaced. If you find it has the screw on filter then use a longer AC/Delco PF51 oil filter to increase oil capacity slightly. Add enough extra oil to compensate for the longer filter.
There is a large plastic cover under the hood covering the engine. On right side it says "oil filter". Under that is the oil filter. You need to remove the 4 bolts holding on the plastic cover and then remove the cap to the oil filter (with an oil filter wrench). The oil filter is inside. The cap does not get replaced.
What will the approximate cost be to change the transmission fluid and filter in a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu?
If the truck has a 2.5l 6cyl the oil filter is located on the drivers side near the steering arm and below the exhaust. The filter is horizontal and can only be removed from down below. The 2.0l four from the poor picture in the G.M shop manual probaly has the oil filter again on the drivers side but lower down on the engine block.
