The engine fan is electric and it is normal that it might continue to run for a while after the engine is shut down. Once the engine cools to a certain temperature, the fan should stop.
If the fan doesn't stop after a reasonable amount of time (20 - 30 minutes maximum should be reasonable), then you likely have a bad fan relay. I'm not 100% certain, but I believe those relays (I think there's two, one for each fan) are located in the fuse/relay box next to the battery, under the hood. The relay location should be listed inside the lid. If it isn't in the fuse box, trace the wiring from the fan, back towards the driver's side wheel well and look for a small cube or block in the wiring, that should be the relay.
It's most likely one of two problems, either the relay is stuck or the temperature sensor is faulty.
dont run it so hard dont run it so hard
Antifreeze could be running out often due to a leak. It is important to inspect the radiator for small cracks or smoke.
its either a dead short or not properly grounded check that out
Fit a new belt tensioner
cooling fan relay is bad?
That could be the cam shaft position sensor.Check that out>
Make sure that the fuse for the 1996 Caravan is the right size and type (slo-blo or fast-blo,) A meter will be needed to check for shorts to find the problem component.
remove neg batteries cable for 15 seconds
The relay could be stuck.
Thermostat needs to be replaced, it is not opening (most common). Is electric fan on radiator running normally from time to time?
I think you might have a bad head gasket. Just a guess.
