Why does your 2005 ford escape s over drive light keep flashing off and on?

Youhave a problem with the transmission, something has tripped a trouble code and the transmission has gone into high pressure mode. From what i was told when mine did it, you should not wait to long or it may cause further damage. There should be a trouble cose in the car's computer that can be read.

I just replaced the ECM in my 2005 Escape & I did have to have a Locksmith come out & REPROGRAM the Key Codes into the computer. When You turn on your ignition, the red THEFT light will probably start flashing fast & the engine will not turn over. This means it doesnt like your key. Time to call the Locksmith or drag it to the dealership to get it reprogrammed.
