Try setting the timing a little higher to get rid of the bog.
It means your engine just warmed up .............
retard the distributor or replace the idle air control valve and MAF sensor
its on the throttle body just above the throttle position sensor (t.p.s)
Just above the throttle cable linkage assy., on the intake manifold, there is a large flat screw for a regular screw driver bit. Turning this will adjust the idle.
It is the small screw on the same side of the carburetor that the choke is on. It is just above where the bowl meets the carb.
Call a dealership with the VIN and they can tell you.
It is located just above the dist below the throdle body. On a 3.0 2.7 about the same
There is not an "IDLE" sensor. The engine computer sets and adjusts the idle speed. If the idle speed won't settle down you need to have the computer scanned to determine the causeBUTVery often with this problem the throttle body is dirty and just needs cleaning.
Try adjusting the idle using the idle screw on the butterfly valve of the air intake. It might be that the idle is just set too high. If that doesn't work, try adjusting the timing. If that still doesn't work, try replacing the Throttle Position Sensor, located right above the throttle body.
your idle air control valve need to replace parts $200 labor $150 or clean it with carburetor spray if you're lucky that might solve the problem i clean my idle air control valve it help little maybe i didn't clean it up good my idle go up and down pretty high and then after i clean it sound much better but it still there idle go up and down slowly now the best way just buy a new idle air control valve engine light turn on hope its not o2sensor
This probably means that the Idle air control valve is not working correctly. If you don't have an IAC check the fast idle solenoid.
IF ITS JUST AT IDLE, CHECK YOUR IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE IF IT HAS ONE.
