The computer does it for you through the IAC valve Idle air control its under throttle body intake hose.
Either the throttle plate is sticking or the idle air control is not responding to ecm signal.
I HAVE THE SAME VEHICLE AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM... THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE. THAT SOLVED MY INTERMITANT HIGH IDLE.

When the AC is on most vehicles increase the idle speed. That can often mask the problems that cause rough idle. The primary suspects are: EGR valve, tune-up, sticky or plugged injectors and valves.
The Idle Air Control valve is located on the side of the throttle plate. Normally the only problem they have is getting gummed up and need a good cleaning.
