I had the same problem before. All I hear is a click when I try to turn the ignition on. I just replaced the starter motor and never had that problem again.
Very hard.
Why is the gas padle so hard to push down
There are six and i know the rear ones are very hard to get to
Because your starter is going bad. You will need a new starter soon!
the switch is usually located in the tranny near where the shift linkage goes into the tranny
All you have to do is go to https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/info/my-lexus/resources/owners-manual-search.do and input all of your vehicles information. It will bring up a free and complete owner's manual. You can even search for key words, which is even better than having a hard copy. Have fun!
The idle air control valve or IAC valve is not properly opening. It opens when the RPMs drop and keeps air flowing into the motor. Remove the IAC valve, clean the carbon that is preventing it from opening and reinstall and it should have a hard start the first few tries but then your problem should be fixed.
Bang hard on the dash just above the instrument pannel. Sounds crazy but try it. my friend and I had the same 1996 Lexus and he showed me the trick. Better than spending $1300.00 which is what I was quoted. Good luck. Does anyone know where the thermostat is?
why does the transmission slip or shift hard on a gs Lexus 300 2001
Pain in the butt. Navigate on over to clublexus.com forums and you'll see what the process entails and how to start.
1991 Lexus ls400 hard steering at ilde rack &pump have been replace all screencleaned or removed.
I am trying to replace my cartidge fuse in a 1992 Lexus ES300. The Lexus dealership told me I had to take the battery out and take apart the fuse box to get to the cartrdge fuse. The reason for taking the battery out is to make more room to work with and safety. It is hard to get in there beause the space is so small. You have to un-bolt the cartidge fuse and then put in and rebolt the new one. But there are wires connected to it (which I guess will not be connected once you unbolt it.) I am having trouble, so if any body knows anything....let me know!
