Possibly because you have a poor PC, or you are trying to play on higher settings than what your PC can cope with. Try pressing "esc", "video settings" and clicking on graphics as fast and "render distance" as tiny.
If this is still poor to play on.
go ctrl alt delete, start task manager, click on minecraft, right click it, " go to process" right click the highlighted one and set priority as "realtime" or "high"
Minecraft lags due to how much R.A.M. or Random Access Memory to run on. If your computer does not have at least 4 GB of RAM then it will probably make the lag much worse. But, you could download the lag-reducing mod Optifine, this mod just lowers lag and it is allowed on most Minecraft Multiplayer servers.
Try putting the video settings on low.
e.g. render distance:low, clouds:off, Framerate: Max FPS, particles: decreased, graphics: fast.
Minecraft lag because it relies on your computers Random Access Memory to run on, and most computers aren't exactly abundant with this. Heck, my Laptop only has 4Gb of RAM, (Random Access Memory). Other videos games don't lag as much because they rely more on the processor.
Some obvious ways to improve the frame rate and help reduce he amount of lag you experience is to set the Graphics Options in the pause menu to a lower state. The most demanding setting is "Fancy" graphics, because this adds more depth and detail to the trees, which causes your computer to implode when in a forest, and also having a render distance of "far" is also demanding. So try changing it to "fast" graphics, and render distance "short", or "tiny".
Another way to improve the performance of the game is to go onto the task manager when you press CTRL + ALT + Delete simultaneously. Then find "Java" under the processes tab and right click, and set the priority as "high".
Minecraft freezes a lot because it needs to load the areas you go into. mobs, terrain, dropped items, and particles all contribute to lag which can freeze minecraft if it gets bad enough. I recommend setting render distance short particles minimal, and max fps on to reduce lag.
yes minecraft will work and run it might freeze sometimes but it will work :)
ur computer will be broke the computer ill freeze all the time
because u have a bad computer :(
As a matter of fact, it is. I have a Dell Inspiron 15, and the first game I downloaded was MineCraft! There are very fast loading times, and it doesn't freeze. So, yes it is good for MineCraft. Thanks for asking!
Because your xbox can't handle the lag.
It's easy! Get a bucket, some ice, some mayonnaise and you're good to go!
try using the program MCedit.
There was probly glitch where snow biom and dessert is there together.
yes of course you can you can play it on anything but it might freeze or something but you can generally play it on but you need java player
There's technically no limit, but after a certain number your computer would surely lag too much to play or freeze altogether.
If it freeze's when you click singleplayer then just open minecraft again the go to start and click log off and it should show minecraft is'nt up anymore so then cancel and play minecraft. ps with singleplayer commands a command thats fun is /enchant add flame and knockback its fun or super punch 1000000
it has to program a whole new world so it freezes and it is alot so thats why it freezes
