There could be many reasons why your Renault Laguna cuts out. It could be cutting out because it needs new spark plugs. It could also be as simple as a tune up.
You might have a small leak in your heater core, had that problem with my 96 Jetta. Had to replace it.

Driver side foot well. Look up where the fuses are and it's attached to the side of the fuse box.
Take out the old clutch. Place safely out of reach of any children. Pick up the new clutch and stick it in. You might need help from a friend as they can be heavy. Best of luck.

It would appear this is a very common problem on the Renault Laguna 2 with the card key entry/start system and the computer display that works off the end of the right hand stalk. The display changes from MPH to KPH (and litres per 100km etc) without warning, sometimes connected to changing your battery, sometimes through jump starting the car, sometimes it just happens without reason. Renault know of this problem (read the forums, they're inundated with similar problems) but will still charge you around £90 to hook up to their diagnostics, then pronounce you have to buy a new dash at anywhere between £500 - £800! I've been waiting 3 years for someone to come up with a cheap fix, but to no avail. Now you'll understand why Laguna's are so cheap secondhand.
Mary Anderson invented the first operational windscreen wiper in 1903. She came up with the idea in New York in winter.
