This may be a case by case deal. Most of what I found when I was seeking an answer to this question a few years back, is that they will not. "A bull terrier will let an intruder in your house and show them where to find the goods". Now for my experience... I believe my EBT would attack if there was danger upon myself or family. My English bull terrier is not aggressive towards people or towards other animals, but has growled and barked at a few people walking by that I felt uneasy about. He does not growl at just any stranger. I will say, I feel safe when I walk my EBT. I don't live in the worst neighborhood of New Orleans but there are sometimes some shady people who pass by. His presence alone makes people cross the street to pass us. So to answer your question, it depends on the individual dog.
