U might still have the keys in
the chime would stay on if the keys are in the ignition (but the car turned off) and if the door is ajar to warn that the lights are still on
I would start by checking the switches on the doors, one or more may be non functional and that is why the lights are staying on, secondly there are switches inside the seatbelt receptors that can tell whether your seatbelts are connected, it would appear that one is not recognizing that you have connected it.
that chime is telling you that the door is open if you have owner manuel, you can find in manuel how to turn off the door open chime from working
Hold down the reset button and then press the mode button to either turn the chime on or off. Indicator lights should go off/on around days of week.
If the ignition chime will not turn off on a 1994 Ford tempo the switch for the sound is jammed. The steering column with have to be removed to access the switch for the ignition chime.
There is a chime module but if it is disconnected may also affect the interior lights.
So what is the problem with my stupid car with the lights on the dashlight problem?
the seatbelt chime and door chime is hooked up to the stock radio in all gm vehicles just find somebody that knows car steros
It is unlawful to not wear a seat belt while driving or riding in a car. Wearing the belt turns off the chime. Some vehicles (VW's for instance) will chime for about 3 minutes then the light goes out and the warning signal turns off.
turn the inside lights off
There are many reasons why a head light would stay on when car is off. These lights could be automatic.
if you leave the parking lights switch "ON" the lights will remain on, even if the car has been turned off.
