The cat's eye is motion attached to unique objects, so it gets interested in the object and attacks it.
A cat will carry a toy and cry as a way to get attention. Often, it is like they are bringing you a gift.
Does he bring it to you and then cry? I would hazard a guess that maybe he wants you to play with him! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- no he doesn't bring the toy to me to play. he will just be laying there and all of a sudden he gets up,goes to the toy and picks it up in his mouth. then he holds it there for a moment, then drops it and sits on top of it and starts to cry(like he is mourning the toy). he usually does this a few times a week. Any ideas as to why he does this? He has never had any sex or babies and he is also fixed. Your input on this subject would be greatly appreciated.thanks
Cat's don't cry. So you can't make one cry.
When a mother cat is separated from her kittens she will have a lamenting cry. This cry will last for approximately one week.
Cat's tails are an extension of their spine.
Gravity is acting on the toy, and there is also tension in the string that ties the toy to the doorknob.

In some cases the cat will play with the toy depending on if he/she enjoys it and is content with it. The cat will not play with it if he/she is not interested in it and doesn't enjoy it.
