Beagles are natural hunters that use their nose to find pretty much everything. Trying to get one to stop using it's nose is a lost cause. Best thing I can tell you is to get the dog on a schedule. Take it out at the same time in the morning, afternoon, and night. Keep the dog moving. You're walking the dog, the dog isn't walking you. Pretty soon you'll find they have favorite spots to go at. Once you know where they like to go... don't let them stop anywhere else.
