It sounds like the switch on the door is really sensitive. It is located in between the door on the hinge side and the car body. If the door isn't completely shutting all the way this would cause this. The switch could just be going bad and needs to be replaced. Sometimes some models will allow one to "Shim" the switch by using a washer or shim to push the switch out more. You just need to play with it alittle bit to see. I hope this helps. Good luck.

The fuel pump relay on a 1996 Dodge Stratus 2.4 liter is located underneath the hood. The relay will be in the integrated power module.
Dodge does not use inertia/reset switches.

Try disconnecting both battery cables for a few minutes then reconnect. This has worked in the past but varies on models.
